Frances H. Milliman
1923-2016
SPRING HILL FLORIDA- Frances H. Milliman 93 of 10440 Palmgrin Land, a former resident of 458 Indiana
Ave Olean and a former resident of Bolivar, passed away Friday November 11, 2016 in Brookdale Senior
Living Facility following a lengthy illness. Born on August 13, 1923 in Friendship was the daughter of
Samuel and Donna Dodson Hess. Fran married Glen Milliman on March 3, 1946 in Friendship. Mr.
Milliman preceded her in death on January 23, 2006.
Fran was a graduate of the Friendship Central School class of 1941 and received her Bachelor’s degree
from SUNY Delhi in 1946. She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church Olean and a
member of the Grand Squares Square-dancing Club Wellsville. Fran was a volunteer at St. Francis
Hospital and Olean General Hospital. Fran was a member of the Olean General Hospital Sewing Club
and the Olean General Hospital Aux. She was known in Olean as the “Apron Lady”.
Surviving are four children: Kay (Frank) DeMarco, Rochester, Bruce (Tatiana) Milliman, State College Pa.
Douglas (Connie) Milliman Baldwinsville NY, Gary (Karen) Milliman Spring Hill FL. Also surviving are ten
grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one Brother: Samuel Hess, Minneapolis Minn. She was
preceded in death by two brothers: Fairbanks Hess and Fay Hess and one step-sister: Isabelle Goff.

November 17, 2016 from 10A.M.-1P.M. Funeral and comital services will follow at 1P.M. Rev. Suzanne
Block pastor of Christ United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery
Bolivar.
