BOLIVAR - James K. Webb Jr. 75 United States Army veteran, Environmental Conservation officer, beloved father, avid outdoors man, Steeler Nation member and trusted friend passed away Saturday July 2, 2016 in the Cuba Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born October 2, 1940 in Buffalo. He was the son of James K and Jean McKenna Webb Sr.

He enlisted in the United States Army serving from 1958-1961 as an Airborne Infantryman in Germany. He also worked as a New York State Environmental Conservation Officer for 33 years and served on the security detail for the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid NY. Jim retired in 1997 and further served the community as a ski instructor for Holiday Valley, Ellicottville NY and as a mentor/ coach teaching handicapped children to ski.

Surviving is his wife of 53 years Barbara Webb of Bolivar. Two daughters Kelly (Robert) Ingalls Bolivar, Erin (Michael) Kearns Buffalo and one son United States Army Reserve Lieutenant Colonel Mark J. (Natasa) Webb Mooresville N.C. Also surviving are six grandchildren Jordan, Kyle and Brad Ingalls, McKenna Kearns, Ryan Taylor and Cole Alexander Webb. One sister, Diane Webb Alba of Buffalo and one brother Cornelius Webb of Buffalo.

The deceased requested no observation or funeral service electing instead a family internal day of celebration of the way our father lived.

What Cancer cannot do: Cancer is so limited…………. It cannot cripple love, It cannot shatter hope, It cannot dissolve faith, It cannot destroy peace, It cannot kill friendship, It cannot suppress memories, It cannot silence courage, It cannot invade the soul, It cannot steal eternal life, It will never conquer our family spirit.
