Henry E. Lindquist 102 of 7922 Rt. 417 West passed away on Monday May 15, 2017 in the Jones Memorial Hospital Wellsville following a brief illness. Born March 18, 1915 in Harvey ND, he was the son of Erick and Karoline Skojberg Lindquist. Henry married Ellen L. Haines on January 19, 1935 in Little Genesee; Mrs. Lindquist preceded him in death on December 19, 2002.

He attended schools in Little Genesee and Bolivar. Henry starting working at the age of seventeen for Messer Oil Company in the local oil fields and later was self-employed working in the local oil fields. In 1959 he began working for the Bolivar Central School as head of transportation and grounds retiring in 1977. Following his retirement Henry worked for Industrial Patterns Co. Bolivar, and helped with the construction of Faith Bible Church Little Genesee. He was a member of Faith Bible Church Little Genesee and he and his wife were members of the Enchanted Mountains Square Dancing Club. He owned two Model As and a Model T antique cars and enjoyed repairing antique clocks.

Surviving are three children, Nancy L. Lindquist Bolivar, Andy (Mary) Lindquist Cuba, Amy (George) Baker Springtown TX and a daughter-in-law, Susan Lindquist Bolivar. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, a niece Margit Welk Coudersport, PA and his two beloved cats. He was preceded in death by a son Jon Lindquist 2013, a daughter Lou Ann Lindquist 1960, and a grandson Jon C. Lindquist 1986, and a sister Selma Winterberger.

There will be no prior visitation, a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a date to be announced. Burial will be in Wells Cemetery, Little Genesee.
